Saturday, December 25th, our Sun moves into Gate 58 until Thursday, December 30th. (Happy Holidays!)
In Human Design this Gate is called "The Joyous". This energy can create a desire to improve yourself or your situation in order to create more joy in your life. This energy can also create a desire to be of service in some way. In the I Ching it is know as The Gate of Vitality. The interpretation of Hexagram 58 indicates that it is a sign that shows the opportunity for great success and a flooding of joyous emotions to come with it. Many doors open when we can obtain success and fill our lives with joy. We feel the need to accomplish more and to seek out new adventures. In the Gene Keys we move from The Shadow of Dissatisfaction to the Siddhi of Bliss via The Gift of Vitality! “The ancients named this Gene Key, this Hexagram – The Joyous. But how can we have joy without sadness. Loss is a part of human life. We all lose those we love. How we deal with loss is a deep, deep part of our learning within this Gene Key.” – Richard Rudd, 64 April's thoughts..... Dark and light. Up and down. Backwards and forwards. Yin and Yang. Syntropy and entropy. Birth and decay. One cannot exist without the other. They are all interconnected. All part of one ever changing, ever evolving field. Rather than resist it, move with it, be present with it, dance with it, play with it, experience it.... It's your movie. One scene might be difficult but it paves the way for The Hero's Journey and you are that Hero/Heroine. How will your story evolve? Love to you....

Tomorrow, Monday, December 20th, our Sun will move into Gate/Gene Key 10.
Just be YOU! I think many of us struggle with the desire to be accepted and liked by everyone. I became a world-class people pleaser in that pursuit. It's an unrealistic goal because many people don't like themselves very much and therefore are not able to give what they haven't given to themselves. This need to be accepted comes from a feeling of worthlessness and I tend to believe that at some point either someone made us feel that way or our perception was that someone did. Maybe in this life or in previous ones. The world is full of messages like that. Slowly I have been finding my way back to myself and have been learning to love and accept myself. I am enough. You, beautiful one, are enough. Remember that. You don't have to overcome difficult people. You don't have to appease or fight them. You only need to keep your eyes open, your chin up, be yourself and giggle a little at the poverty of spirit some folks sadly embody. In the I-Ching this gate is known as the gate of Treading Carefully. Here is what the I-Ching says about this gate: Competent people find their way and make progress, even in difficult circumstances. Consider your steps carefully when powerful forces surround you. The weak and strong can coexist when the weaker element does not impose upon the stronger one, when it maintains good humor, and when it avoids taking bold action. When treading among sleeping tigers or slippery stones, step gingerly, and don’t stumble. At this time, a relatively humble force or person is having influence over a stronger one and, for this reason, must be particularly careful. In the company of brash people, rushing wildly ahead will only bring misfortune. Now is not a good time for taking initiative; rather, try getting by with a little grace and good humor. In the court of a powerful king, the jester often has more power than a prince. In Human Design this Gate is known as The Gate of Individual Behavior or Treading. It signals an underlying code of behavior that ensures successful interaction despite circumstances. And finally, Richard Rudd has this to say about Gene Key 10: Shadow: Self Obsession Gift: Naturalness Siddhi: Being “The more spiritual we become, the more achingly serious we become, and the more we think we know. We have to admit at a certain point, however, that we know nothing, absolutely nothing.” – Richard Rudd, 64 Ways Tuesday, December 14th our Sun moves into Gate 11.
In the I Ching this Hexagram is known as the Gate of Peace. It is the Union of Heaven and Earth and is about anchoring the Light within the Body to see the World as it truly is. It's an interesting and simple concept but oh so very difficult for humans to employ. Logically we know it's difficult to see through a filter of darkness. We are often so unaware of our darkness that we do not realize how our perceptions are shaped by our shadows. Shadow integration is such an important process in healing and correcting our perceptions about ourselves, the world, and one another. Shadow Work is the radical art and craft of marrying your subconscious and conscious mind. It is the union of your waking self (your thoughts, goals, and beliefs in your day-to-day life) and shadow self (your deeply hidden, taboo, and dark core stories and beliefs). Welcoming "Mara", the demon that plagued the Buddha is archetypal of shadow work. It is only then that a transformation of sorts can begin and the shadow can be integrated. Once that integration takes place the "Light" has space to grow. It is then we will begin to have a better picture of Truth. In Human Design this gate is known as the Gate of Ideas. A harmonic condition in the individual or society that permits assessment before renewed action. Ideas are captured over time. One who seeks stimulation. It is a time to assess. What is working? What is not working? What can be done to make things better, not only for ourselves but collectively? And, finally, a word from one of my favorite, modern mystic poets: Gene Key 11 SHADOW - OBSCURITY GIFT – IDEALISM SIDDHI – LIGHT “If we have the 11th Gift, or are contemplating it, we can use the beautiful richness of the right brain visions and archetypes in our life to launch it onto a higher level. That is our greatest Gift – to catch others on fire with the Light that burns in our hearts. Our Gift is our heart, our love, our devotion.” – Richard Rudd, 64 Ways (When looking at a Human Design chart, that includes the mandala, one can see the 64 I’Ching hexagrams in the outer circle, the corresponding 64 gate numbers inside that, the 12 astrological signs inside that, and the Human Design BodyGraph in the middle. The 64 gate energies of Human Design represent the archetypes of our experiences and expressions as human beings. They are the foundational aspects of who we are and how we interact. Each year the sun moves counterclockwise around the gates of the mandala (like the sun moves through the astrological signs), spending approximately 6 days in each gate. As the sun (or any other celestial body) moves through a gate it **“activates”**the energy of that gate. This means that the energy is released to “flow” to us. The sun is considered the most dominant and important transit to be aware of.) |
